Seashine: Cabin Sessions

Seashine is a St. Louis-based band comprised of musicians Demi Haynes, Kate Hayes, Bill Hudgins, and Paul Reiger, who create the atmospheric sound known as “shoegaze” - a niche genre that experienced a brief but explosive popularity in the early 90s when bands like Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine, and Dinosaur Jr. entered mainstream charts. A new wave of shoegaze - often called “nugaze” or “dream pop” - is back, and Seashine is a standout in the genre: Haynes’ gauzy vocals float and through waves of instrumentals, lyrics often taking a backseat to the emotion of the whole. “The Cabin Sessions" showcases how the band blend their unique talents together to create a sound unlike any other.
