Boda Clay

Molly Svoboda understands the power in community, and community is what she strives to create with her work. She finds it in collaborating with local businesses who seek her out, with chefs and farmers who showcase their labors in hers, and in those who take her work home to give it space in their own lives. Coming into pottery by accident during high school has given way to a career formed much like the pieces she creates: with thoughtful, unhurried consideration and an openness to the flow and curves it may take. Her work invites you in, encouraging you to pair the small details of your life with hers, creating new threads of connection and community both locally and further afield.

Currently working out of her own studio in the Dutchtown neighborhood of St. Louis, Molly focuses on everyday, highly usable items: tableware, mugs, vases, and a collection of homeware. Her work can be found at local retailers around the St. Louis area and at her website, along with specifics of her glazes and firing techniques.
